The Kulao Thong Maepan company is in the south of Thailand. It started from a
family business. We have made dried salted fish for over 40 years from a family
secret recipe, especially Kulao fish, also known as Fourfinger Threafin in general.
All production process is meticulous and 100% organic. In 2020, it was registered
as a company limited to growing business.

Kulao fish is a rare and precious fish, which is not caught much. It contains more
protein, unsaturated fatty acids, DHA, taurine and trace elements iron, phosphorus
and calcium required by the human body than ordinary sea fish. Especially Kulao
fish in south of Thailand because the sea around there is confiuence of 3 Rivers :
Sungai Genting River in Malaysia, Bang Nara River in Thailand, and Su-ngai-Kolok
River in the Sankara Khiri Mountains, covering the area of Thailand and Malaysia.
These 3 rivers are rich in nutrients for the Kulao fish.
